Product Features

  • HISTORY OF ESPRESSO: Espresso is a specialty coffee brewed by forcing small amounts of nearly boiling water under pressure through finely ground coffee beans. Espresso is generally thicker and more concentrated than coffee brewed by other methods. The original Italian name meant “pressed coffee,” with an implication of speed and efficiency. Updated with a modern look, our 6-cup Espresso Maker combines the sensibilities of early 20th century Italian coffee brewing with an efficient, user-friendly design.
  • INNOVATIVE DESIGN: Crafted from quality stainless steel that allows for thorough and even heat distribution for exceptionally brewed cups of decadent espresso, our 6-Cup Espresso Maker is a welcome addition to any kitchen. Its stay-cool silicone handle keeps your hand comfortable, assures easy handling, and allows for an even pour every time. It’s easy to use, easy to store, and easy to clean.
  • USE AND CARE: To use, unscrew the top and remove the filter funnel. Fill the base with water to the level of the safety valve. Place the funnel back into the base and fill it with ground coffee. For best results, use fresh roasted, finely ground coffee with a 6-to-1 water to coffee ratio. Tighten the top to the base, and heat the espresso maker on low to medium temperature until the coffee bubbles to the top. Remove from the heat and serve. To clean, separate the top section from the base and hand wash in warm water. Do not use detergent when washing. Hand wash only.
  • SPECIFICATIONS: Package includes (1) Primula 6-Cup Stainless Steel Espresso Maker.

Splurge for a more expensive model Very thin metal and to doesn’t quite seal with the bottom, causing a very small amount of water to sometimes leak out while brewing. Do yourself a favor and splurge on one that costs more. The one I had prior to this was smaller but it was an Italian brand and it was much better quality that this one.

A Winner! Fantastic! After many years of use, I had to write this review. This was the first stainless steel stovetop espresso maker, and I love it. I have four made of aluminum and no longer use them. Some, I paid good money for. The advantages are clear. This stainless steel one cleans easily and does not “grow” anything inside if it stays a little wet. The teflon gasket lasts a lot longer than the ones make of rubber, and it looks great on my stove. Very happy purchase.

Great item. I have a Nespresso pod espresso make … Great item. I have a Nespresso pod espresso make too. I use both equally. The Primula is easy to use (a requirement) and I can experiment with different flavors. It’s nice to have both. Only problem with the Primula is my funnel went down the garbage disposal and bent it up badly … I cannot find a replacement item so I had to order an all new unit. Bialetti is a similar brand that does the same thing and they have replacement funnels easily available but they don’t fit my Primula…
