The chef was sidelined with painful tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome and was desperate to find knives and tools that would eliminate hand and wrist pain. The chef turned inventor enlisted the help of his engineer brother. They worked with designers at the family machining company to examine how a conventional knife fits in a chef’s hand, the movement of the chef’s wrist and hand during chopping and the angle at which the knife hits the cutting board. The innovative design that was eventually developed took stress off the wrist and hand. After only a few weeks the chef’s tendonitis disappeared. Countless prototypes were sent to professional chefs, students and culinary professors across the country. The enthusiastic and positive response gave birth to the Ergo Chef brand.

martial arts weapon or cooking utensil? its hard to tell. oh yeah! this is a serious stabbing fork. I bought this fork to help make moving large pieces of meat in and out of pots easier and it works awesome! long, heavy stainless steel tines, nicely blended and shaped handle. it is very strong too. it will lift pretty much any piece of meat that you’re strong enough to lift without itt bending. be careful. this fork is sharp. like I said earlier…this fork is no joke.

They don’t seem like they were cut from the same mold regarding styling its a good”set” in that they are both quality pieces but i think pairing them together was an afterthought. They don’t seem like they were cut from the same mold regarding styling. you can plainly see that the handles are different. Other than that the slicer seems to be very sharp and designed well. the fork is heavy and seems to be quality. the prongs are not as sharp as i had expected. overall two quality pieces that will do the job well

Just what we needed Bought a block of good knives to furnish a small apartment and needed a cooking fork to add to it. This is perfect. It is sharp enough. It will not bend. And it is narrow enough to store in the block.
