Poor ergonomics I bought this unit because I have had Braun coffee makers in the past and been generally happy with them. This is a sleek 10 cup unit and makes a good cup of coffee, although a bit slower than most. The controls are well organized in a row and are intuitive, except for the “power” button that requires a two step process to brew the coffee. (I have to assume this is an artifact of the hot-plate model.) I agree with some other reviewers that it misses the mark on ergonomics. The…

Reservoir Could Be Improved I would “love it,” but: 1) it is difficult to see the #s of cups on the gauge in the reservoir (the numbers are not highlighted in a contrasting color); and 2) like other people have noted, you have to use a pitcher with a spout to fill the reservoir with water. If you use the carafe, water will spill all over the outside of the coffee maker. In all other respects this is a good coffee maker.

Makes a good honest cup, or 10. I am not a coffee snob. I can drink free church basement coffee and I also appreciate a good cup of expensive beans that have been harvested from the feces of a civet cat. Use your favorite coffee and this will make it right, when you want it. The gold filter is always a plus as you don’t have to use paper.
